Beauty Review: Jill Stuart Blush Blossom Dual Cheek Color in Romantic Sweet Pea

Jill Stuart Blush Blossom are the lastest blushes from Jill Stuart's Cosmetic Line. It comes in a beautiful high quality casing with a mirror and retractable blush brush.

The intricate details across the brush and blush casing almost makes the this $50-$60 blush worth buying (only if your a sucker for pretty packaging like me).
The steep price is my only criticism, besides that, I absolutely love it!

The blush is a finely milled powder (IT'S SO SOFT IT SERIOUSLY FEELS LIKE SILK O_o) and it has a pleasant and light floral smell.
Don't worry if you can't stand fragranced cosmetics because once you apply the blush, you can't smell it on your face.

swatches of the colors separately

It is heavily pigmented so use a light hand when applying this blush. Although the brush that comes with the blush is super soft, I think it's too stiff to apply such a pigmented blush. The blush stays on the entire day even through humidity and rain.

Both colors blended on my NC25 wrist
The color is a light cool toned pink with tiny shimmers and is perfect if you want baby doll cheeks. I apply the darker color first, then highlight my cheekbones with the lighter color.

Now back to the packaging. The blush conveniently comes with an attached plastic divider. On the front, it is decorated with the usual Jill Stuart design while in the back, it is made of a foam material which makes it easier to dab the pigments off the brush. I love the compact mirror in the case (my friend always comments on how it reminds her of Sailor Moon xD). I know when most people hear loose powder they think "IT'S GONNA SPILL EVERYWHERE," but that's not true with this blush. Never once has this blush accidentally opened and vomited pink glitter over my belongings.

Final comments:
-Super pigmented
-silky soft powder
-very blend able
-very pricey T_T
-lasts all day through sweat and rain
-Brush is soft, but stiff
-Compact closes tightly (doesn't spill)
-packaging is high quality and intricately detailed
-hard to find anywhere outside of Asia (Jill Stuart the fashion line is based in America, but her cosmetic line is exclusively available in Asia)

I rate this product:  9/10
-1 Lack of availability outside of Asia and its high price

Would I buy this product again?
-Definitely!

Do I recommend this product?
-Yes! Especially if you're a sucker for consumerism like me xD

Beauty Review: Majolica Majorca Puff De Cheeks Apricot Macaron

Puff de Cheek is a popular blush line from Majolica Majorca.
The packaging is lightweight and its concept is adorable!

The tin is suppose to resemble a french macaron. SO CUTE!

I picked up the color apricot macaron at Watson for around 380 NT.  The camera didn't capture the blush's intensity. It's more of a pure tangerine in the tin which is this summer's trend.

2 heavy swipes on my NC25 skin

Unfortunately, the powder isn't very pigmented, but it is build able. The powder puff it comes with doesn't pick up color very well so I recommend using a blush brush. Around 2 swipes per cheek gives a very natural look perfect for any summer outing.

Final comments:
-Texture: matte finish
-Blends nicely
-Not too pigmented, but build able
-Lightweight (cheap) packaging
-Lasts throughout the day (as long as your not sweating balls xD)
-Not waterproof
-Hard to find, but available online if you don't live in Asia

I rate this: 7/10

-1  Poor pigmentation compared to the other colors available
-1  Lack of availability anywhere outside of Asia
-1 Beautiful tin, but cheap quality (There are some subtle dents on my container)

Would I buy this again?
-Probably not. It is a nice blush, but there's nothing too special about it.

Do I recommend it?
-Yes, but only if it's convenient or if you're comfortable with online shopping. There's no reason to go out of your way to buy this product.

Where is it available?
-Watson $13 USD (380 NT)
-Ebay $22 USD for Buy It Now
-Local Chinatown beauty stores in New York City $20-$30
